It's the school's fault?

Okay I'm all for pinning some of the blame on the school who allowed a gun into the building but blaming them for "allowing" a student "to wear makeup and feminine clothing to school" I think had gone a little too far. It is a shame that Larry King was fatally shot by a fellow student, and even sadder that the life of another boy has been ruined in this tragedy but I just don't see how it was the school's responsibility to dictate what Larry did or did not wear to school. I do think that they should have been more involved in the taunting Larry did to other boys in his class, the tormenting he inflicted on the boy who finally resorted to violence and brought that gun into school. The media has played this out to be a "poor Larry" story, and I agree that his death is tragic, but maybe it's time to look a little deeper than the fact that a student who claimed to be gay and dressed in female clothing was killed. How about we look at the other factors that lead Brandon to bring that gun into school in the first place and how the school administration allowed Larry King to torment other classmates but stepped in when those students came anywhere near uttering a comeback to his taunting.
