So the sky finally brightened from grey to blue and the rain has all dried from the pavement. Two days in a row I was able to climb on the bike and ride to work ... and with a little luck tomorrow will make 3. I hear we might get rain this afternoon, on my ride home of course, and that tonight's expected thunder storms may last into tomorrow morning, but if the pavement is not puddled with water at 7am tomorrow morning I will be on the bike once again.
considering how expensive gas has gotten I definitely appreciate the cost savings (almost $5 per day by driving the bike rather than my Mazda 3i) but more importantly it makes getting to and from work so much more enjoyable. It may actually be part of why I am feeling better these days despite the lingering cough and tight chest. Or could that be all the steroids I'm on now trying to boost the immune system and get the asthma under control while we give the antibiotics time to kill off all the nasty bugs attacking me. In any case I feel 200 times better than I did on Monday and even the cough is slowly getting less bronchitis and more asthmatic, this is a good thing.

Heard back from him, didn't go see him thought I suspect his sailing trip was rescheduled for the 2nd weekend in a row due to bad weather. He told me I could call to see if he was home but i decided that 1) I was sick and didn't need to spread the germs, 2)his grand daughter might be there despite the canceled trip and he should be spending time with her not me, and 3)Mom needed company while Dad played out in the garage. That pretty much took care of Saturday and by Sunday morning I had gone from kinda sick and not feeling good to absolutely miserable with no energy to do anything. Jen and I headed home after breakfast, she drove, and I managed to stay awake for the ride but was kind of in my own little world.
This weekend is the 4th of July holiday and we're spending it @ home, and going to the beach Friday for the day with Jen's family. Next weekend we have no plans and I'm available to take a long motorcycle ride north to go hang out with him for a bit, Jen might go and we could stay with Dan and Eric rather than tell Mom and Dad we're even coming up ... but I don't know if he'll be home. I still want to talk to him one on one so I could make it a long ride alone if Jen wants to stay home that weekend. It's only a 500mile ride in one day ... good practice right? The following weekend we'll be in Grand Rapids/Whitehall at Michigan's Adventure ... then we're headed north to Boyne city Friday 7/25 for the annual Christmas in July deal at Heahter's. Jen and I both took that Monday off though so I think we'll go back to LC Sunday night and might possibly see Jack Monday if he'll be around. Jen will be with me but I may be able to head into town alone and see him for a bit if he's available ... right after I decide what exactly it is I need to say to him.
