Let it snow, let it SNOW, LET IT SNOW!

Okay Mother Nature, I'm ready. Fill the sky with grey puffy clouds and let the festival of white flakes begin. It's almost Thanksgiving here in Michigan and the temp outside is a balmy, and humid, 52. The grass is still a slight shade of green, some of the trees are still holding onto their leaves, and it rained last night. This is not November weather, it looks and feels more like September. The holidays are now upon us, in two days, and I think a little fluffy white stuff is in order. It's hard to get in the holiday mood when it's just so dang gloomy outside.

I know there are those reading this who detest our chilly little friends and only look forward to the warm sunny days of spring and summer. To you I say ... MOVE, or at least take a vacation to a warmer climate for a few months while those of us who know winter is just a part of living in Michigan enjoy it. Leave us to shovel snow, salt icy sidewalks, and build snowmen. Let us speed down packed slopes on skis, snowboards, sleds, and the occasional shovel. Leave us to our winter fun while you bask in the sunshine of Arizona, Texas, or South Florida. Go play in the sand, watch birds, sit on the beach, and swim in your heated pools. Enjoy your year round summer and return in April when the snow has turned to piles of dirt in the backs of the parking lots.

My sled and board are ready to go, minus a little dust that will surely wash away the first run down the hill. My boots, gloves, hat, and long underwear are at the ready. All I am waiting for is the flakes!
