Woke up again this morning
Thoughts of you clouding my head
Been 12 years since last I saw you
Almost 6 since we last spoke
Thought for sure I was over you
Purged your memories from my head
Yet here you are again without warning
Leaving me to wonder, What might have been

Seems a lifetime has passed between us
I'd barely know you anymore
Time has changed me too
Not the same scared girl you once knew
I've meant to call you many times
Just never sure what to say
Thought of stopping by when I'm in town
Just a little out of the way
Tried to write
But I forgot, writing’s not your style
So I won't feel hurt, won't let it get to me
I've tracked you down, dropped a line
Took the initiative first
No word back, no reply
Still waiting to see
