It's totally random, somewhat unrelated, and completely off the wall ... so what? It's my little piece of the web to write, question, and share my thoughts with those who pass by. Feel free to leave your comments ... I read them all ... but remember I have the power to remove them too!

Well it's official ... the education end of life is never ending! I return to Baker Monday for another year of "quality" education in Networking. A year of my life and roughly $5,000 later I should have my CCNA (Certified Cisco Network Administrator) and have a plethora of job options available to me. I am partly excited to get this new venture started but also wishing it would be all over sooner than a year. I do love to learn and look forward to the challenge of mastering Cisco LAN and WAN technology but I also love my freedom. By returning to school I will be giving up 2 nights a week just to attend class ... there will be another 3 to 4 spent reading and doing homework I am sure. Thankfully I can get some of the reading done while at work ... you know while I wait for that program to install on the latest screwed up pc around the office. Maybe it won't be so bad ... It is something I need to do eventually ... and with the auto market not looking good and TRW laying off an entire shift of workers in June ... the sooner the better. I need job security and I hope that learning the Cisco end of networking will provide me just what I am looking for. Besides ... if I want to work from home as a network designer someday I will need to learn all this stuff so why not start now. It would be nice to telecommute ... and actually design the networks, not have to figure out why they are broken all day every day.
